For when “thinking of you” isn’t going to cut it.
Sometimes the sympathy aisle has nothing that fits. Someone’s had a genuinely terrible month — the diagnosis, the divorce, the job, the whole run of it — and every card on the shelf wants to talk about strength and silver linings and God’s plan.
Sometimes the kindest thing you can say is just: this is awful, and I’m not going to pretend it isn’t.
That’s this card.
Soft watercolor wildflowers in dusty rose and slate blue, hand-lettered in navy, and the words are:
“I’m sorry life fucking sucks right now”
(This card contains explicit language — it’s meant to.)
The artwork is deliberately gentle. It isn’t a gag card, and it doesn’t wink. The prettiness is the point: it’s a real card that happens to say the true thing out loud.
WHO IT’S FOR
A friend in the middle of a diagnosis. Someone six months into a divorce. A person who’s just lost a job, or a parent, or a pregnancy. Anyone past the point where the casseroles stopped and everyone else moved on — that’s when this one lands hardest.

PRINTING
6 x 4 is standard photo size, so any photo lab, drugstore kiosk or home printer will handle it. I’d suggest matte cardstock — 110 lb / 300 gsm — since matte suits the watercolor artwork better than gloss. This design has colour running to all four edges rather than a white border, so a photo lab will usually give you a more even result than a home inkjet. However, since the words are centered, it won’t ruin the print if the edge colors are cut off a little. Choose “actual size” or “100%” rather than “fit to page.”
One practical note: if you’re printing this at a shared or workplace printer, you may want to think about who else is standing at the tray.

A NOTE FROM ME
I make printable cards because I got tired of paying $6 for a card I’d write three sentences in — and because the shelf never has the one you actually need. If anything about your download doesn’t work the way it should, message me. I answer every message myself.
