Eight cards for the moments the card aisle doesn't cover.
The sympathy section is full of doves and scripture and strength in this difficult time. Which is fine, sometimes. But it doesn't help when your friend is four months into chemo, or the divorce just got ugly, or someone's had a run of bad months and nobody's saying anything about it anymore.
This is the set I wanted on hand. Eight watercolor cards that run from genuinely gentle to genuinely blunt, so there's one that fits whoever you're writing to and whatever's actually happening.
THE EIGHT DESIGNS
Softer and traditional
Thinking of You — forget-me-nots and eucalyptus / Wishing you comfort and peace
Holding You in My Heart — candle and lavender / With deepest sympathy
Sorry for Your Loss — white lilies and forget-me-nots
Steady and supportive
You Don't Have to Face This Alone — a lit window / One day, one breath, one small step at a time
Small Steps Still Count — blossom and moon / There is no rush. I'm with you
Honest and a little irreverent
Grief Is Weird. I'm Here Anyway. — wildflowers / No fixing, no perfect words, just love — and snacks if needed
Bad Days Are Rude — tea and lavender / I brought compassion, tea, and absolutely no unsolicited advice
I'm sorry life f***ing sucks right now — soft florals, blunt words
Please note: the last card uses explicit language, printed in full on the card. It's meant to — but I'd rather you know before you buy than after.
WHY A SET
Grief and illness aren't one moment, they're a long stretch. The card people remember often isn't the first one — it's the one that came in month three, when everyone else had moved on. Having eight on your computer means you can send a second one, and a third, without another trip out.
They also suit different people. The lilies for your aunt, "Bad Days Are Rude" for your closest friend, and you don't have to guess which one you'll need in advance.
WHAT YOU GET
8 printable card designs 6 x 4 inches, landscape
Instant digital download — no physical item ships
HOW IT WORKS
Purchase and download — files are available right after checkout as a PDF
Print at home, at a print shop, or upload to a photo service
Trim, fold if you like, and pair with any 4 x 6 envelope
PRINTING
6 x 4 is standard photo size, so any photo lab, drugstore kiosk or home printer will handle these. I'd suggest matte cardstock — 110 lb / 300 gsm. Matte suits watercolor better than gloss, which can make a sympathy card look like a photo print. Several designs have color running to all four edges, so choose "actual size" or "100%" rather than "fit to page."

A NOTE FROM ME
I make printable cards because the shelf never has the one you actually need, and because $6 is a lot for something you write three sentences in. If anything about your download doesn't work the way it should, message me — I answer every message myself.
